Cookies Policy
This page tells you exactly what cookies and similar tracking technologies Master Anshin uses, why we use them, how long they last, and how you can switch them on or off at any time.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text file your browser stores when you visit a site. It lets the site remember
things like your preferences or whether you have already accepted the cookie banner. Some "cookies"
in the modern sense are actually entries in localStorage or sessionStorage.
We treat all of these the same way under this policy.
The cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary (always on)
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
anshin_consent | masteranshin.clickdrop.online | Stores your cookie consent choice so we don't ask again on every page | 12 months |
PHPSESSID | masteranshin.clickdrop.online | Only set on pages that need a session (newsletter form, checkout). Expires when you close the browser. | Session |
studio_key | masteranshin.clickdrop.online | Internal admin auth for the editor dashboard. Only set if you have the admin key. Never set for regular visitors. | 30 days |
You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies. Without them the site cannot remember your privacy preferences.
2. Analytics (opt-in)
If enabled in the future and you opt in:
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aggregated visitor counts | Privacy-friendly analytics tool (Plausible / Umami / similar) | Count unique daily visitors per page, country at country level, referring source. No individual profiles, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting. | 24 hours (rotating daily hash) |
3. Marketing
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will list them here and ask for your consent first.
4. Third-party embedded content
Some pages embed content from YouTube (videos) and Spotify (podcast player). When you press play,
those embedded players may set their own cookies for analytics under their own privacy policies.
We use the "no-cookie" YouTube domain (youtube-nocookie.com) where possible so no
cookie is set until you actively interact with the player.
How to manage cookies
- On our site: open the cookie settings link in the footer at any time, change your choices, and save.
- In your browser: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies.
Examples:
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Universal opt-outs: we honor the
Sec-GPCGlobal Privacy Control header. If your browser sends it, we treat that as a "reject all non-essential" signal.
Do-Not-Track
We respect the DNT: 1 header where reasonable, but the DNT standard was not adopted
widely. The cookie banner and Global Privacy Control header are the authoritative ways to tell us
your choice.
Changes to this policy
We will update the "Last updated" date at the top whenever this list changes. If a new category of cookie is added, we will re-prompt the banner.
